The room was big for one person and it was fairly quiet though it was very near the train station. The price was reasonable in April. Its location (just opposite the train station) was excellent.
Because the hotel is in an old building, there is often power cuts, i.e. I couldn't use my electric kettle and turn on the TV at the same time. On the day of my departure, there was no power to turn on the TV even though I hadn't use my kettle.

The location is convenient, right across from the
Train station. Our room was comfortably decorated and surprisingly quiet despite being in a busy area. The water in the shower lacked consistent warmth. I appreciated the Nuxe bath products and the friendly housekeeping staff.

The staff was nice
My room was on the top floor and the elevator only went to the floor below so I had to carry all my luggages up narrow steps. Only french speaking.

By and large, it was wonderful place with welcoming staff who changed for an even more aggressive disco music and eventually lowered the volume long minutes after my request

Actually everything was great, my next choice again in Strasbourg. The place was fairly clean and wonderful, had lovely staff who changed for an even more aggressive disco music and eventually lowered the volume long minutes after my request. The food was excellent and there were lots of dishes in the menu. Within walking distance to the hotel there was a train station...

Close proximity to the city center and railway station
You cannot use any of your own electrical equipment (such as hairdryer or battery charger) as the network cannot take this wattage and switches off immediately...

Hotel was classically old and once would have been a very grand place. Lift is beautiful and the view from Rm86 is fabulous. Staff very accommodating and friendly.
Rm86 needs an overhaul. Still with, likely, the original tub bath and no shower although sink/basin are new. Other rooms appeared to have been upgraded. But very clean and view was worth it.

It's not all bad, but it's not all good
Perfectly positioned just across from the train station, the atmosphere is inviting, and the spacious bathroom features a luxurious towel warmer.
While the room was decent, noise from the street proved disruptive at night, impacting my sleep quality.
